Pianist

SACRA/PROFANA – EDUCATION PROGRAMS COORDINATOR

Our mission is to enhance the cultural life of Southern California by cultivating and promoting the art of choral singing throughout our communities.  SACRA/PROFANA is committed to awakening and nurturing enthusiasm for the choral art, through vibrant performances and focused outreach. While adhering to the highest artistic standards, we recognize the need for programming that is both accessible and compelling, and offers a rewarding, entertaining experience for concertgoers of all backgrounds.

The general purpose of this position is to design and administer all education outreach and inreach programs in support of SACRA/PROFANA’s mission. This includes both SACRA/PROFANA-produced programs and in-school residencies.

Escondido Choral Arts – Development Position

Introduction

Escondido Choral Arts, an endorsed program of the California Center for the Arts, Escondido, is an exciting, musical venture that promotes music and education in our community. The Escondido Choral ArtsFoundation includes The Center Children’s and Youth Chorus, that provides an opportunity for young students to have a basic education in music and enjoy performing together in a safe and positive environment, and The Center Chorale, a premier vocal ensemble of approximately 50 adult singers performing at the beautiful California Center for Arts in Escondido as well as in other North County
venues.

Description

Escondido Choral Arts seeks a person interested in developing and implementing marketing campaigns to enhance fundraising efforts, market concert events, and provide community outreach marketing to increase membership. We are looking for someone to assist in creating strategies and developing a researched database to receive sustainable long-term funding from philanthropists and granting agencies. The position is anticipated to start 11/01/2017. The schedule is flexible, but the successful candidate should expect to commit at least 10 hours per week. Compensation would be paid on an independent contractor basis at $1500/mo.

Roles and Responsibilities

The responsibilities consist of, but are not limited to:

  • • Using a wide range of research, writing, and computer skills
  • • Participating in day-to-day operations of the nonprofit sector
  • • Develop funding goals and objectives
  • • Identify possible donors and funding agencies.
  • • Create marketing campaigns and materials and build relationships with prospective
    donors and funding agencies.
  • • Perform competitive research on potential sustainable fundraising and marketing strategies
  • • Take part in report productions, evaluation, and presentation.
    Requirements:
    Applicants should have the following:
  • • Must have some background in developing marketing and fundraising strategies with a
    Bachelor’s Degree preferable.
  • • Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail
  • • Strong written and oral communication skills
