JCompany’s As One Vocal Ensemble is a performance training group, composed of talented young artists from all over San Diego County, who will sing their way into your heart! These young artists (grades 2-7) not only serve as junior ambassadors of JCompany Youth Theatre, but they also reach out to give positive entertainment to charitable organizations, local schools, the elderly, and others.The Music Director is responsible for developing and teaching voice-based curriculum and for attending and teaching at all scheduled rehearsals. The Music Director is also responsible for playing piano for all rehearsals and during all performances and for coordinating with the JCompany Artistic Director on all public performances.

First Unitarian Universalist Church of San Diego

Seeking a director for our Women’s Chorus and a director for our Youth and Children’s choirs, starting in January 2019.

Posting these as two positions, but we would be open to hiring one person for all three choirs, or a different combination.

Tenor Section Leader/Soloist

La Jolla Presbyterian Church seeks a tenor for its traditional Chancel Choir to lead the section in weekly rehearsals and services and several major concerts as well as provide solos periodically for services and major works, beginning Sept. 6.  The LJPC Chancel Choir has a long tradition of singing a variety of styles of music, from classical to gospel, and presenting major programs accompanied by a professional orchestra.  Rehearsals are Thursday evenings from 7-8:30; services are Sunday mornings at 8:45 and 11:00 (most Sundays we meet from 8:10-11:15).  Sunday morning services regularly involve brass or orchestra. This is a year-round position, with no rehearsals in July and a choir break in August. Candidates with classical voice training and experience, strong sight-reading ability, good people skills, and in harmony with the choir’s mission preferred.  Please contact Keith Pedersen at for more information and to submit a resume.  Applications accepted until position is filled.
